We’re delighted to announce the CGHero collaboration with White Paper Games on their latest release.
Last year, White Paper Games released Conway: Disappearance at Dahlia View, a beautifully made game that our Heroes worked on. We’re here to chat to some of those who worked on it.
Created over several weeks of work, this observational-detective thriller is a plot driven story game with a captivatingly luring setting. Set in a dark and troublesome 1950s English town, we were honoured to work with Pete Bottomley’s team, based here in our local Manchester, with creating environments and props for the setting. The game released on November 2nd, 2021, after several months of work and Here’s what Pete had to say:
Working with the CG Hero team allowed us to add a deeper level of interaction and world building to our scenes which in turn provided deeper and richer game experiences for our players. The CG Hero team worked efficiently and met our art style well.
The team at CGHero worked to White Paper Games’ industry standard to create a range of props for the game, which were a vast contribution to the visual storytelling that has proven essential to Conway’s dark and brooding style. Stylisation proved an important factor in contributing to the feel and atmosphere of the game – and if we do say so ourselves, we think our Heroes smashed it!

Our artists were responsible for texturing assets for Conway: Disappearance at Dahlia View. They adapted well to the art style they were presented with, especially with the great support shown by Oliver and James over at White Paper Games. After completing our initial batch of work they trusted us to take on further work, allowing us to continue assisting the development of their game. Working with White Paper Games was a pleasure and it would be great to work with them again someday.
