Service Fees Update

Since releasing the CGHero platform there has been some confusion about the service fees charged and the sliding fees based on project size and user levels.

We have taken this feedback onboard and agree that this structure is simply unnecessarily complicated.  For that reason, we have decided to implement a simple, no-nonsense, flat rate commission.

New Flat Rate Commission

From today we are removing the 30 to 20% sliding fee and are applying a 25% fee that is deducted when the service is ordered.

When adding a service, you can decide to enter the amount you would like to earn for your service or you can enter the total service cost and your earnings will be shown based on this total amount.

Why 25% Commission?

Commissions are spent on the ongoing operational costs of the business, which includes costs you might expect like staffing, marketing, support, rent and other overheads.

Commissions are also put towards the future growth of CGHero, including covering the costs to maintain and develop the platform. With this we can continue to provide a service that customers will want to use time and time again.

Based on our current projections we have determined that a 25% commission rate is crucial to the success of CGHero. Any less than this would not provide us with enough resources to offer the best service we can for the artists and studios that use the service.

Reducing Future Fees

As we continue to scale and innovate the platform, it is possible that we may be able to find ways to reduce the commission rate while still providing the best service possible.

We understand that we cannot succeed unless you succeed and so we strive to do everything we can to ensure you receive the highest return for using the service.
